Even Drew Carey Needs a Backup Plan
If you have ever experienced data loss, then you have likely had this same expression on your face. Drew Carey had an entire workday erased due to a system error. Drew was saving his work directly to his laptop, without additional backups in place Drew's data was vulnerable to a hard drive failure, or even a computer crash.
If only Drew Carey had a backup and data recovery (BDR) solution, then his project would still be intact. A BDR solution will keep your data safe no matter what type of disaster hits your computer; this is because information is automatically stored to the cloud, which is a secure network of servers located off site. Therefore, if Drew Carey's laptop experiences a critical error, like a hard drive failure, he would still have the ability to access his work by logging onto the cloud through another laptop, computer, or device. A BDR solution is the quickest way to access your work from anywhere, this ensures minimum downtime not only for Drew Carey, but also for everybody logged into the network.
Some computer errors are serious enough that not even an IT technician can fix the problem. Data is stored on a hard drive, this is a complex computer part that has disc spinning at 7,200+ rpm, all it takes is a piece of dust to offset the rotation and cause irreparable damage. If a hard drive fails, then the only way to retrieve your data is to remove your hard drive and send it to a clean house. Clean houses are very expensive and time consuming, they can only recover files that are not corrupted so there is no guarantee that this procedure will even work. Drew may have been onto something by chucking his laptop off the seventh story floor.
Another precaution Mr. Carey could have taken would have been to have Computerware provide remote monitoring and support service for his laptop. Remote monitoring would have ensured that his laptop would have been running optimally because Computerware would have caught the problem early and fixed it while it was only a small issue. Even if there is an issue with the hardware, Computerware has IT technicians that can be dispatched, and our team will be able to do more for you than the one Drew Carey sought out for help.
Smashing a laptop does really make a mighty fine sound oh, sound oh! But a call to Computerware at (703) 821-8200 will keep your computer running smoothly, so that when you need your data it will always be around oh, around oh, a BDR will make sure your data will always be around oh!
